Hook Norton helps Max make a bigger bang
Beer bangers and mash is very much on the menu at what is officially the finest bangers and mash in Britain. For the Big Bang's proprietor Max Mason wants his award wining restaurant in Walton Street, Oxford to be the place for people to eat, meet and enjoy themselves. He is running Big Bang Business Networking sessions.
"If you enjoy meeting interesting people and intriguing conversation with fellow business owners this is an event not to be missed," said Max. "This first event was sponsored by Bartercard and diners had the opportunity to discover how swapping apples for pears can help grow business and improve profits." If art is you thing there are regular auction and exhibition nights featuring the creative works of many local artists.
And lovers music can enjoy mix of performers giving you straight ahead jazz, latin, bebop, ballads, soul and blues styles, all served up with Max's legendary bangers in the newly decorated premises. "Check us out on a Wednesday night - the publicised musicians are often joined by surprise guests, so trios often end up as quartets," said Max. And it is Hook Norton beers that has helped make the Big Bang a success. "I have been lucky in the fact that Hook Norton is my local established independent brewery.
Their beers are exceptionally good and their reliance upon traditional British beer making methods ensures that the beers not only taste very good, but you also feel ethically good too. "The Hook Norton Haymaker pale ale is my favourite beer from their extensive range, available all year round in a bottle, I have to admit that in summer it tastes particularly good," said Max.
