Hook Norton Brewery’s Inaugural Golf Day at Chipping Norton Golf Club.
Hook Norton Brewery have a close relationship with Chipping Norton Golf Club and we were delighted to be able to hold our event in such beautiful surroundings. Chipping Norton Golf Club offer’s a challenging 6316 yards 18 hole, par 71 course set out in a delightful setting.
The river Glyme rises close by and is the source of a number of water features throughout the course. Weather conditions were perfect throughout the day, warm but slightly overcast at times.
Refreshment was on hand with bacon rolls and coffee on arrival followed by a well manned pit stop at hole number 9 out on the course which offered hearty glasses of Hooky beer from the polypins provided as a pick-me-up whilst the players deliberated how to play the next holes.

Seven teams of three went round the course with a wide handicap range. The day was organised for the sole purpose of bringing people together in a relaxed environment to have fun.
The day was rounded off by a delightful three course evening meal and drinks followed by a presentation of prizes. Nearest to the pin was won by Mr Paul Smith, Tollgate , the longest drive was won by Mr Edward Lyon and the best individual score went to Mr Paul Drinkwater.
Due to the success of this event we have decided to make it an annual fixture in the future. Well done to everyone who played and a special thank you to the staff from the Golf Club for setting the scene for a wonderful day.
We hope to see you all again next year.
