Beer, Wine, Food and Fun.
Dave and Sue Wiggins, tenants at the George, Brailes, held an evening dedicated to the sampling of Hooky Beers and wines with the help of John Dudbridge of S H Jones in Banbury.
sampling evening was a chance for guests to try the Hook Norton range of beers including Haymaker which is the breweries seasonal beer for July.
The event was attended by James Clarke M D of Hook Norton Brewery, who gave guidance on the pairing of beer with the fantastic homemade dishes Sue had devised using locally sourced ingredients where possible.
In between courses Sue invited the guests to take a wander upstairs and view the rooms available for letting. The rooms available are all en-suite and each of them provide a spacious and light area in which to relax and take heed of the beautiful surroundings.
Brailes itself lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a haven for wildlife. From the Pub alone there are numerous walks and cycle tracks, including the Feldon Cycle Route which goes from Shipston-on-Stour to Brailes giving you the chance to explore the beautiful rolling countryside for yourself.
